Research introduction We aim to develop useful devices and study condensed-matter physics by creating new functional interfaces ourselves
using our unique high-quality thin-film fabrication techniques.
We try fabricating artificial superstructures and studying interfacial properties by making full use of thin-film fabrication
techniques in ultra-high vacuum, which is a non-equilibrium process.
In our laboratory, we focus on the investigation for quantum transport phenomena,
such as the quantum Hall effect, superconductivity, and search for novel materials applicable to the functional devices.
We keep challenging to find interesting materials and phenomena by further extending
the material system.
